'Finding Nemo' sequel 'Finding Dory' announced Staring role by: Ellen DeGeneres
Well we waited for what seems like forever since Finding Nemo first aired back in 2003! How will Finding Dory stack up? Only time will tell, however with a star like Ellen DeGeneres it should be a hit in 2015!
On Tuesday's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres" show, Ellen had big news for movie fans: Pixar is finally making a sequel to their beloved 2003 film, "Finding Nemo." In the original film, Ellen played Dory, a forgetful regal tang who helped Marlin find his son, Nemo.
"Here's the good news - They say I'm one of the 5 top contenders to play the part of Dory," Ellen jokes. "No, I will be Dory again, which is the most fun in the world. Actually the entire sequel is about Dory. The name of the movie is 'Finding Dory.'"
"There is no Dory without Ellen," says Disney/Pixar vet Andrew Stanton. "She won the hearts of moviegoers all over the world--not to mention our team here at Pixar. One thing we couldn't stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In 'Finding Dory,' she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way."
"I'm excited that it's finally happening," Ellen adds. "I read the script and it's fantastic, it's hilarious, it's warm, it's everything that you want it to be. But the thing about those movies - They're brilliant and they take a long time to make. So, it won't be in theaters until 2015. But in Australia, I think that's tomorrow."
