Tobago Won't Be Left Out-K Kay
He’s never going to stop. The passion to create and infiltrate with his one of a kind musical sound is what makes Kevon Joseph, who’s better known by his alias, KKay- a man on a mission. The Tobago native is at it again ahead of Carnival 2013 in Trinidad but rest assured that while his music release comes just in time for the T&T festival season, the dynamic of his music is as such that it does not conform to the ideals of seasonality. Wine Up On Me is a groovy Soca with strong sexual traction- it’s a song the artiste firmly believes is more than just another Carnival track.
Produced by District 6 Studio with mastering done by the highly reputed, MadMen Productions in Trinidad, the track was released via iTunes just about one week ago and has been making the rounds digitally via online distribution medium, Jam2Vibes.com.
Quite an untraditional type of song, the young entertainer who has been working very hard to make that much desired big breakthrough, took this particular track in quite a different direction, fusing pop, soca and dancehall to make something that’s ideal for not just the carnival soca lover, but the club hopper who enjoys a good groovy single when at their hotspot of choice.
In October, KKay collaborated with fellow Tobago artistes, NevaLegal and songstress, Thea. That track was called Handle It. The riddim on which that single had been produced, was distributed by reputed international distribution company, Promo Only- a big deal for the Caribbean artistes who continue to strive for the best possible outcome.
Now, with this brand new track, KKay is ready to make the necessary moves to ensure of the natural progression of his musical career. It’s been a winding road but he says he feels there’s nothing but a positive outcome at the end. With that in mind, Tobago’s KKay is going hard- bringing the world Wine Up On Me- a song he assures is worth the attention.
