My Team Events visited the Heights of Aripo this past Sunday 21st October. The group of enthusiastic

adventure seekers visited the Aripo Cottage a beautiful Eco Resort nestled in Northern Range. The Heights of

Aripo includes El Cerro del Aripo, the highest point in Trinidad and Tobago.

The day trip was intended to allow persons to get away from the ordinary, to take a break from the 'hustle and

bustle' of everyday life and enjoy the peaceful, quiet, relaxing and scenic ambience of Aripo. At the cottage

the group enjoyed many activities including a fun game of charades in the gazebo and a relaxing bath in one of

the two pools.

Some of the braver members of the group made a trek along a trail to the Aripo River which flows from the

Aripo mountains, through the Aripo Valley and eventually joins the Caroni River. At the river there are number

of small pools which are ideal for bathing and persons took full advantage.

The weather was perfect that day. The sun shone brightly and accentuated the bright green of the mountains,

the pink and yellow of the flowers and the blue and red of the many birds. The excited group included persons

Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and St. Lucia. The nature lovers made friends with some of the resident wild

animals which included a lappe, ocelot, a wild hog, red howler monkeys, ducks, macaws, parrots and ponies.

This was the third Road Trip hosted by My Team Events this year. Previously they had been to the Keshorn

Walcott Toco Lighthouse (before it was renamed), and down the islands to Chacachacare Island, hiking 818

meters uphill to the lighthouse there. The Road Trip is for the adventure seeker, the nature lover, the history

enthusiast and those who have a passion for new experiences. 

My Team Events main goal is to create fun lasting memories by hosting unique events with a local twist that

enable camaraderie and strengthen the bonds of friendship. The trip was not short of photos, the official
