On Thursday night, Zen will host a private opening and it will also mark the launch of the brand new 3Zero Gold rum- endorsed bySoca artiste, Machel Montano. “That opening is private and strictly by invitation,” she said.

Remaining mum on the dates and themes of the events carded for the exclusive party hot spot, Lady Hype- known for her involvement in a number of committees and events, said ,” that info has not been released yet … people just have to stay tuned to the social networks and radio.” One thing she did say however was that the club’s DJ lineup would consist of music professionals  from radio frequency, Star 94.7FM and the club’s doors would open at around 10pm on Friday.

Club Zen closed its doors after an Ash Wednesday event staged by Machel Montano in 2011. Reasons for its closure were unclear at the time, however representative for the establishment, Lydia Legal in an interview with the Guardian newspaper back then had said, as far as she had known, the club had been closed for rennovations. The Zen nightclub is owned by businessman Johnny Soong.
