Miley Cyrus's latest movie may have tanked in American boxes -- BUT she can still sell it over seas!

During an interview with Dutch BRAVO, Mileybird explained that even though she is an international super star she can relate to the average teen girl she plays in LOL.

Mz Cyrus says what she has in common with her character is something ALL teen girls go through.... heartbreak.

Even though Smiley has a super HAWT BF (Liam Hemsworth) -- it sounds like she's still not over the pain of that one guy (Nick Jonas?) dumping her years ago. SADFACE!!!

Apparently her amazing momma still wants to "kick his ass" for hurting her so badly!
