Jason 'Fridge' Seecharan celebrates T&T's 50th Independence with single, Give Thanks.
 

It may not have been meant to tie in with T&T's 50th Independence celebrations, but Jason "Fridge" Seecharan's single, Give Thanks, may be just the right message.  On April 23 Seecharan released the video for the single, which is the first of 14 tracks on his album, Just A Cool Scene. Seecharan said he was proud to have been a part of this country's qualification for the World Cup in 2006. "I was a part of the cultural contingent that accompanied the team to Germany and I have to say, that was a great accomplishment," he boasted. 
 
 
He says his wish for music as the country moves forward is that there will be less talk of unity and more action. "The music world is a big pie, but it seems like everyone isn't given an equal opportunity. All I wish is that all artistes can get the opportunity to express themselves. There are so many artistes in T&T who do so many different types of music and they never get a chance to showcase it to the entire country. "If there could be a radio station in T&T that would play all genres of T&T music all day, that would be such a great thing," he ended.
