My Team Events hosted “The Hunt is On” their first Easter Treasure Hunt on Sunday April 1st, 2012. The event which had 13 participating teams that comprised of five members each was held around the Queen’s Park Savannah (QPS). The teams had to solve clues and perform tasks given in the form of riddles, based on various aspects of the QPS.
“The Hunt is On” also managed to gain a great amount of buzz around the Queen’s Park Savannah as onlookers inquisitively watched and even assisted teams as they attempted to solve the clues and tasks given to them. The event also drew spectators who came to support their respective teams. One such spectator described the event as “A modern, local twist to the traditional Easter egg hunt.”

The event received rave reviews from all 65 participants and was a day of fun and excitement for everyone who took part. Each team did their best to unravel the clues given but one team stood out from the pack, the lively Carnival Tabanca Crew with the event winners on the day winning a cash prize, trophies for each team member among other sponsored prizes. The Sisters of Substance (SOS) team came in a close second and the International Hatters on Foot placed third. There were also prizes for Best Team Name which the Carnival Tabanca Crew also won and Best Dressed Team which was won by Team Mango.
Shelly-Anne one of the members of the winning team said that the event was “Lots and lots of fun, challenging and exciting!” She also described it as “A great way to spend a Sunday with friends and also learning about the QPS and environs.”

The company that hosts themed team events was contented with the turnout and most importantly that all their participants were satisfied. Kenyon Champion the owner and coordinator of My Team Events placed emphasis on the company’s main objective “We host events that allow for enjoyable and lasting memories to be made between close friends and family and to create a setting for the forming of new relationships and friendships.”
The Hunt is On was sponsored by Dixee Crackers, IMAX Trinidad, Guru Health Snacks, White Oak, Lucozade, Movietowne, Mario’s Pizza and Oasis Water.
