This Is The Text Message Malaysia Airlines Sent To The Families Of People On MH370
The missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, as announced by Malaysia Airlines and Malaysia prime minister Najib Razak, is most likely at the bottom of the Southern Indian Ocean, and everyone aboard is presumed to be dead.
Before this announcement was made, Malaysia Airlines contacted the families of the people missing on the plane via text message according to a CNN assignment editor.
This is what the message read:
“Malaysia Airlines deeply regrets that we have to assume beyond any reasonable doubt that MH370 has been lost and that none of those on board survived. As you will hear in the next hour from Malaysia’s Prime Minister, we must now accept all evidence suggests the plane went down in the Southern Indian Ocean.”
Here is an image of the text message that was sent out:
While it may seem a bit insensitive, there is no good way to deliver this message, and this was the most efficient way to contact families.
Still, there are detractors who think Malaysia Airlines should have done a better job to keep families informed rather than leaving them in the dark for over two weeks.
Additionally, this method of contact disregards the gravity of the fact that over 200 people presumably lost their lives.
Below is a of the infographic so you can get to know those who were aboard the plane a little better. On behalf of Elite Daily, our deepest sympathy goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy.
