In what is hopefully (but not likely) the most disgusting story we share with you all year, Saverio Bellante, age 34, was arrested on Sunday and admitted to killing his landlord and attempting to eat his heart.


The Italian man was living in Dublin and renting an apartment from Tom O’Gorman, aged 39. The two had been engaging in a epic year-long chess match before arguing over a move.

All of this is reported by Bellante, who turned himself into the police by calling the emergency number and telling the operator he had just killed a man and eaten his heart.

O’Gorman exhibited dozens of stab wounds and several areas of blunt force trauma, which Bellante says were from using a dumbbell as a weapon after O’Gorman was able to resist being stabbed.

O’Gorman’s chest was opened up by the kitchen knife and part of his lung was extracted, though his heart is intact. It is unclear if O’Gorman was still alive while he was undergoing his impromptu surgery.

In the original report, Bellante is described as a “calm” man… Sounds like it really is the quiet ones you have to look out for. Makes you wonder how O’Gorman was cheating.:
