There is currently a billboard in India featuring a powerful message about Nelson Mandelaaccompanied by Morgan Freeman‘s face.

The billboard mistakenly shows Freeman alongside fallen civil rights heroes Martin Luther King Jr, Gandhi and Mother Theresa.

According to the UK Metro, the billboard is located in Chennai, South India, and the message is written in Tamil, so a translation has yet to be released.

Most believed this to be a fake news story until various Twitter users confirmed its legitimacy with eyewitness accounts.

The 76-year-old Oscar winner played Mandela in the 2009 film “Invictus.” Freeman’s masterful portrayals of charismatic and regal characters along with his demeanor and appearance have led him to be compared with the former South African President many times before, but this mistake is a ridiculous blunder beyond comprehension.

Steve Carrell‘s dimwitted character in the 2012 film “Dinner For Schmucks” looks at a picture of another character posing with Mandela and exclaims: “He knows Morgan Freeman!”
