Catherine Donnelly a young white girl settled into her dorm room at Princeton University. She was confused when she realized a young black girl named Michelle now known as "Michelle Obama" would be her roommate.

She walked into her dorm that evening and delivered the news to her mother, Alice Brown. "I was horrified," recalled Brown, who had driven her daughter up from New Orleans. Brown stormed down to the campus housing office and demanded Catherine be moved to another room.

She didn't want her daughter to be in a room with a black woman. She has realized Michelle has become the first lady of the United States & is now married to the president.
