Sex, dating + the modern world! Somethings were sure to change, from 4G connections on our cell phones or Skype, these modern technologies are shaping the way we interact with each other as well as courtship! Read on for some of these - Dexter Michael Tittil

The Weird Wild World of Modern Love

Throughout history, people have always gone to great lengths for love. But technology and the busy modern world have created some wild and weird romantic trends and inventions. Read on to find out about the latest in bizarre online dating trends, divorce parties and more.

Dating Site Lets You Build a Dream Man, Then Find Him

You can customize nearly everything else in life, and now, a new dating site allows you to customize your potential partner, too.

We all have certain physical features we're attracted to, and iDreamofU allows users to build a dream date according to those features. After creating your ideal man or woman, the site then matches you with real members who look similar to the character you've created. Think The Sims meets Match.com.

Kissing Robot Lets Long Distance Lovers Virtually Make Out

A new device allows couples to engage in virtual make-out sessions with each other ... sort of.

Dubbed "Kissenger," the device has lips that contain pressure sensors that, when kissed, transmit your lip movements in real time over the web to your partner's device. Your partner then puckers up to his or her Kissenger, and, voilĂ  -- you've gotten to first base. You didn't even have to leave the room, much less the country!

Beware of 'Ghosts' When Dating Online

If you're not particularly good at writing a profile or communicating with people in cyberspace, there's no need to worry. You can hire a ghost to do it for you.

Ghost daters essentially assume the identities of their clients and then take over their online dating profiles. The term was coined by Stacie Ikka, a professional ghost dater who charges anywhere between $1,500 to upwards of $20,000 for her services.

Is Gaming as Bad as Cheating?

According to a recent poll, people spend three billion hours a week gaming, and renowned therapist Dr. Bonnie Eaker Weil believes gaming can be dangerous to relationships.

"Anytime someone spends more time with something or someone else than with their loved one, that's an affair," Dr. Bonnie said in a statement. "In this sense, gaming can be an affair -- it can take the place of love and romance."

Meet the Women Who 'Rinse' Rich Men Online

Believe it or not, a modern trend exists where ladies troll the web looking for rich dudes who will give them all the stuff you'll never be able to afford.

Meet Jeanette Worthington, Danica Thrall and Hollie Capper -- they're the subjects of a U.K. documentary titled Sex, Lies and Rinsing Guys. Using only their feminine charms, they manipulate men, via Twitter and Facebook, into giving them thousands of dollars' worth of gifts. They've dubbed this behavior "rinsing."

The type of men that fall for this? They're typically divorced businessmen, according to the rinsers.

Best Site for Online Dating: World of Warcraft?

Online University says it's easier to get a date playing World of Warcraft than any online dating site. The top dating site, eHarmony, has 1 million members, compared to the 10 million players on World of Warcraft, they argue.

Also, 48 is the median age of someone on eHarmony, while the World of Warcraft median age is 32.

An App That Can Help Long Distance Relationships

If you're looking to be connected to your significant other 24/7, there's now an app for that. And if you're single, this app might work in your favor, too.

Pair is an iPhone app that allows couples to share pictures, videos, messages, locations and even kisses. It's like Facebook for two. Or really souped-up text messaging. Other features of Pair include sketching drawings for your loved one, sending adorable notes on your private timeline and sharing important tasks and dates.

If You're Beautiful, You Can Get a 'Free' Vacation

"Are you attractive but don't have the money to travel?" asks new dating site MissTravel.com. Well, fear not. Now you can hang out with a rich but desperate lothario who will give you a vacation -- simply for being hot.

Generous travelers who hate to travel alone are matched with attractive travelers who want the opportunity to travel the world for free.

A free trip with a stranger who thinks you're pretty? Isn't this the stuff our mothers warned us about?

Online Dating Goes Offline as Singles Take the Stage

Me So Far is a new monthly dating event in Chicago where singles present themselves onstage via PowerPoint. Hey, it works for business meetings, why not love?

They call the events "story sessions," and attendees are grouped into Talkers and Listeners. Talkers are the PowerPoint presenters, and their presentations are limited to six minutes. The Listeners are the audience, and they have 72 hours to contact the Talkers they would like to know more about.

Widowed Seniors Create Guide to Internet Dating

Most people complain about dating in their mid-30s -- imagine it after retirement. That's why widow of 20 years Martha T. DiGioia decided to use her marketing background to help find a new mate. She joined Robert Ruggles, a more recent widower, to co-author Adventures with My Mouse: Seniors Make It Happen with Internet Dating.

The guide comes in handy for the growing number of seniors finding love online.

Girlfriend-for-Pay

For the low, low price of $5, you can have a girlfriend ... sort of. A new site, GirlfriendHire.com, is catered to desperate, lonely guys and the girls who are willing to pretend to be their girlfriends. In exchange for $5, these girls will do pretty much anything -- as long as it's not sex. "Anything" includes flirting, Facebook posting and sexting.

Requests from actual guy members on the site include:

"Looking for a girl who will argue/break up with me over text message."

"Be my fake girlfriend for 6 months on Facebook. Would like pics together."

"Put 15 tootsie roll pops in your mouth singing the alphabet backwards in a bikini"

Single? Rent a Boyfriend!

On a related note, Rent-A-Gent is a service that allows single ladies in New York City to hire a boyfriend, and yes, I know where your mind is going with this, and no, it's not some sort of gigolo business.

By night, Manhattan advertising executive Ian Zalesko is Rent-A-Gent. Ian helps single ladies with the odd jobs that are normally reserved for boyfriends: changing light bulbs, putting up curtains, fixing flat tires, etc. And of course, we women can do all of the above by ourselves, but let's face it, when we have a man around, we enlist his help with all of those tasks.

Online Dating: Is It Pointless?

Online dating may be futile, according to a study. Professor of psychology at Northwestern University Eli Finkel contends that online dating boils down to two problems. First, members' profiles don't reveal much about them. Second, perusing the hundreds upon hundreds of profiles "overloads people and they end up shutting down."

He takes issue with the algorithms that sites such as eHarmony use to match people based on their interests and personality.

"Eighty years of relationship science has reliably shown you can't predict whether a relationship succeeds based on information about people who are unaware of each other."

Sex in the Age of 4G

According to informal surveys, 80 percent of women and 60 percent of men agree that social media allows them to identify, pursue and connect with a partner in less time than ever before. But the increased availability of lightning-fast broadband appears to parallel a decadelong rise in the prevalence of sexually transmitted infections (STI), especially in women 25 or older.
