Rihanna still misses her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown and insists the simplest things in life remind her of happier times together before their infamous break-up in 2009.
The young romance came to an abrupt end when Brown beat the Umbrella singer black and blue on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards.
The Kiss Kiss hitmaker was charged with assault, placed on probation, and ordered to serve hard labour and stay away from his ex, but that restraining order was lifted last year, prompting the former lovers to twice team up in the studio.
The pair has been dogged by rumors of secret, romantic reunions ever since, and now Rihanna has added fuel to the fire by admitting she often looks back fondly on their relationship despite everything they went through.
In a candid new interview with Oprah Winfrey, she says, “I’m reminded of a lot of things. A lot of good memories. The slightest things… hotel rooms, tour venues, any little thing, music (and) songs. I do miss him at times.”
The chat features on Oprah’s Next Chapter, which will air on 19 August.
