SOON COME RIDDIM 2012 (JAHLIGHT RECORDS)
JahLight Records Unleashes the 'Soon Come Riddim', Their First Crossover Album Project.
The Soon Come Riddim is JahLight Records' 5th Riddim Album project. It follows the likes of the New Day, Mount Zion I, Passover and this years, Final Chapter Riddim.
This project is however quite different from the aforementioned as it is not the usual one drop reggae riddim.
The Soon Come Riddim is rather crossover as it is uniquely merges three genres of music; RnB, Hip Hop and Reggae.
JahLight Records in this release uses the musical backdrop and songs to specifically inspire hope for its listeners.
'Sometimes you're down and feel like it's the end of the road. When all seems like it has been lost, remember that after sorrow comes joy. Don't you give up. Just be patient. God is with you. Trust in Him. Better soon come'. Each artist plays an important role in relating this theme. First up is Trinidad female rising vocalist, Roxy Singh, Featuring Gospel rapper, Rich Angel, with 'I Miss You'. Here they express their love for a loved one that has passed away with the hope to once again reunite with them in the future. King Solomon comes in next with the optimistic, 'Dreaming', where he pictures a day to come when the Earth is no longer filled with crime and violence and evil. He looks into the future to a time where the Creator replenishes the world and restores it into a place of peace, love and harmony. Last up on the riddim is Soul Feat Heart, with the touching love song 'Missing You'. In this selection love is lost between them and they aspire to regain the love that they formerly had.
The Soon Come Riddim is sure to catch the attention of fans that are not primarily into authentic Reggae music.
However, the reggae fan is not left out as they are still able to get some good old conscious messages on this project. The Label's prime intention in merging the genres is to reach out and bring its variety of fans together. However, no matter the genre chosen, the message is always the same. The themes JahLight Records uses are always positive, conscious and uplifting to the soul. Fans of music worldwide; rnb, reggae and hip hop can look out for the Soon Come Riddim as it soon comes to digital stores worldwide on the 10th September 2012 all courtesy JahLight Records and BFM Digital.
