So, the liquor was flowing last weekend and people’s mouths were loose! The new buzz on the scene is about another potential nuptial… this time…maybe…for 2012 triple Soca winner Machel Montano.

Last Saturday, Machel Montano celebrated his triple win and 30 years in the business with an upscale thanksgiving event at the Chaguaramas golf course. He even invited the man that “pours his drinks for him” too!

In his 30th year in the soca music business, it seems only fitting with all the triumphs thus far (especially this year),  to top it off with the gala of the century….a royal soca wedding….right?

Well, we’ve all seen that Machel has turned into real a sap these days, crying all the damn time! I’ve come to the personal conclusion that love has gotten him so emotional…maybe.

According to quotes in the T&T Newsday he gushed, “Behind every great man, stands perhaps a better woman.” Then he continued,  “Every year, every week, every day…rebirth occurs and I cannot wait to start anew once again. God is love and he gave me beautiful children, a glorious family, a great band, the best friends and management that I can ask for…and then something more.”

But is he and his Canadian girlfriend Kavelle Keir even engaged? Is she wearing a ring? Does Lady Montano approve? I mean, after all, she really has been the only constant woman in his life and let’s be real, Machel is a mama’s boy.

Mama Montano was in full celebratory mood at the event, allegedly stating to those gathered, “I sense another distinguished event coming soon for Machel but a bit more tranquil than we are accustomed to. We know the importance of family. Never settle for mediocrity and strive for the best at all times, whether in entertainment or in our family life.”

Well….November is the month to look out for a “royal soca wedding.” But that is also the month of Machel and his mother’s birthdays. If I was Kavelle, I would want another month for my anniversary, something special between me and my man…yuh know? Anyhoo…congrats to the happy couple. More power to you Kavelle, you have secured one of Soca’s most eligible bachelors and have done quite a work on his heart. *cue the awwws*

But just in case in seven months we don’t see the discreetly “hyped” wedding, at least we can look forward to a major 3Zero birthday party for mother and son! I hope I don’t get blamed if the wedding doesn’t happen, yuh know like theWhite House fiasco…right Lady? *cough*
