Did you know that we are more likely to die on….

A research including more than 2 million people in their 40s or older showed that it’s more likely for us to die on our birthday rather than on any other day.
How could that be? Scientists found out that there are two main reasons on a psychological level for this phenomenon. The first one is that people over 40 start to see their birthdays as some kind of deadlines which are motivating them to ward off their death. The other reason is that they are perceiving their birthdays as super stressful events. Both cases lead to an increase in the percentage of people dying before or on their exact birth dates.

The most common causes of death on birthdays include heart fails and attacks, strokes and suicides. It’s estimated that it’s 14% more likely for people to die on their birthday if they are over 60.
The risk of dying on your birthday may rise as you get older, but that doesn’t mean your birthday should be a death treat if you see it as a normal celebration date and not give it some kind of eerie and stressful importance.:
