I barely recognize you… anymore…

Lately …I am not quite sure….
Deep shades…of crimson…has darken your skies….
Once…so sunny and bright…
The ominous sounds of gunfire…
Disturbs your peace…morning… noon and night…
Your off-springs act…as though you never…
Taught them right from wrong…
So instead…of your once captivating smile…
These days you always wear a frown…
Trinbago… is that you…
Once so tolerant…once so demure…
Trinbago…I don’t believe…that’s you…
You are projecting an image…that’s a bit obscure…
No longer…do you seem…to beam with pride…
Or hold your head up high…
I can feel…and share your disappointments….
I can hear your sigh…
The lawlessness among your young people…
Is a cause for great alarm…
It threatens…your serenity…greatly diminishes…
Your once…inviting…charm…
Trinbago…please…say that’s not you…
Who…now resort to cold blooded murders…
To settle…the littlest of score…
Uses…poverty as an excuse to…openly break the law…
Trinbago…what happened… to the morals…the values…
You once…stood so proudly for…
Trinbago…come on…quit pulling our legs…
I can’t take it anymore…

Where integrity…can be bought or sold…
At the drop of a hat…
Loyalty…transparency…accountability and honesty…
Are based…upon more fiction…than fact…
Tsk …tsk …tsk…No Trinbago…that cannot be you…
It sends shivers up my spine…raises my pore…
Just thinking …what more…
Do you have…in store…
