Burn! Chris Brown Has The Last Laugh When Abuse Warning Label Backfires!
Remember those warning labels unofficially slapped onto Chris Brown's latest album, Fortune, telling people not to buy it because he beats women (most notably Rihanna)?
Well, it seems the ploy has backfired -- his album sales are actually UP at that store!
One representative thinks that now that the protesters have brought the album back into the the limelight (the whole thing went viral), that they inadvertently revived interest in it as well.
Whomp whomp!
Here's what that rep said:
"We were as surprised as anyone when the stickers appeared. Obviously someone must have snuck in to put them on a handful of CDs, and although they weren't up very long before staff removed them, the person responsible managed to take a snap and send it out to media.
"I guess they got their point across pretty effectively - with widespread coverage around the world, though, by the same token, quite a few more people now know there's a new Chris Brown album out."
Well, that's some positive news for the singer, as he's due back in court to discuss probation related things in less than a week!
You know, just days after the backlash from that tat that still doesn't sit right with us...
Did U think the sticker would work??
