Big Bang Rerun Beats Comedy Competition, But American Idol Helps Fox Win Thursday's Ratings

There is no stopping CBS in the ratings race, even when the network airs reruns of their favorite comedies.
A Big Bang Theory repeat at 9pm managed to beat out all of NBC and ABC's new episodes in their Thursday night line-up, while a 2 Broke Girls rerun tied for second at 9:30pm.
However, the country still craves competition because American Idol received an 8% increase from last week's episode to help FOX win the night in total viewers and the 18-49 category.
NBC's comedy line-up ratings showed improvement from last week's series lows, but the 10pm critically-acclaimed drama Awake is suffering badly because a repeat of CBS' Person of Interest DOUBLED the freshman show's already low ratings.
With roughly a million viewers dropping from the show nearly every week since its premiere, it looks like this will be the first and only season for the inventive cop drama.
At least the return of a new Office episode boosted NBC's Up All Night season finale by 25%.
