Since the release of her album ‘MyDestra.com’ fans have been praising Destra for her versatility and the album’s high production quality. Since the album’s release the singer who gave fans ‘Link Up’ in 2012, released her gospel track ‘Walk with me” which many admit showcases her true talent. Some have even said the track reaffirms her position as one of the best voices in the Caribbean’ music industry.

‘Walk with Me’ is the only gospel track on the album as Destra tries to include at least one on every record. She told ETCETERABUZZ.COM that she got the inspiration for the song when she visited Jamaica last year. “It was during my fasting period around this same time, I was in Jamaica and I heard a beat. It was a riddim and was supposed to feature other artistes. As musicians, you write what you feel and at that time I just felt really spiritual and I wrote the song. The passion just came through,” said the mother of one.

Destra said that the current version has more of an acoustic vibe than the reggae version. The song and her album are available on her website www.mydestra.com and it’s also available on iTunes. She revealed that it’ll soon be available on trinitunes.com as well. Destra is sending a clear message to fans, encouraging them to check out the website often as she has plans to release music throughout the year. “ I plan on releasing all kinds of music to show my versatility as a true musician, not just carnival tunes but more seasonal songs.  During summer-time, look out for a summer song. Lenten season, look out for that too,” she said.
